My Review...

When I request this book for review I didn't realize that it was part of a series. I was able to read it as a one off but I am confident that if I had read the previous books it would have made it even better.

This was set in a time where you could not be with someone beneath you which left Colin and Amelia starcrossed lovers in a way.  When Colin was given the chance to better himself to be able to be with Amelia he took it but while he was doing this Amelia was starting to move on even though there was still a part of her that held a spot deep in her heart for Colin.

Finally Amelia meets a new man that she is drawn to immediately but can't figure out why Count Montoya does this to her.  Finally Amelia gives in and lets herself love the Count and finally tries to let go of Colin only to be gutted after she realizes the truth about the Count after the "deed" has been done.

I am a big fan of Sylvia Day's work and not always a fan of historical but this story drew me in with suspense, passion, and love.

It is a cute love story where true love wins in the end.
