My A Midsummer Night's Romp Review ...

It's always a joy to read a Katie MacAlister book.  They're always so quirky, witty and fun no matter the genre.   Most of the characters suffer from no filter rich results in very off-the-wall verbal diarrhea.

Gunner Ainslie is probably closest to his brother the baron Elliot.  Elliot was the bumbling older brother who is in charge of the castle where Gunner is the free spirit womanizer.  After seeing Elliot settle down his interest for a potential relationship sparks within in him.

Lorina Liddel is determined to save her friend so she comes out with a hair brained idea.  This idea lands her at the Ainslie Castle to put together a book of behind the scenes of an archeological dig at the castle.  The only problem is she's not a photographer.

This problem might have gone off if Gunner wasn't a photographer and so handsome.  Lorina doesn't trust men but there is something about Gunner that causes Lorina to lose her verbal filter.

The quirky witty banter is always fun.  Nothing comes without issue for these Ainslies causing worlds of trouble good and bad.  Gunner fumbles his way in to Lorina's heart and is now part of her plan for it only to blow up.  Throughout the dig what Gunner finds the most valuable is Lorina and what she brings to him instead of the potential treasures of the finds.

"Oh, very well.  In the interest of saving you from being ogled and molested and forced to sexually gratify hundreds if not thousands of women, I will admit that you're not halfbad, and I might already be the tiniest bit in love with you."

Now add a bit of suspense and drama within this wacky world and we have a very fun book.  I can't wait for more from the Ainslies.

3.5 Quirky fun Thumbs up!
