YOU FLIRT WITH FIRE...

For Aoife Dakar, seeing is believing-and she's seen some extraordinary things. It's too bad no one else believes that she witnessed a supernatural murder at an outdoor fair. Returning to the scene for proof, Aoife encounters a wise-cracking demon dog-and a gloriously naked man who can shift into a dragon and kiss like a god. Now thrust into a fantastical world that's both exhilarating and terrifying, Aoife is about to learn just how hot a dragon's fire burns.

WHEN YOU DATE A DRAGON

Kostya has no time for a human woman with endless questions, no matter how gorgeous or tempting she is. He must break the curse that has splintered the dragon clans before more of his kind die. But his powerful attraction to Aoife runs much deeper than the physical-and there may be more to her than even his sharp dragon eyes can see. To survive the coming battle for the fate of his race, he needs a mate of true heart and soul . . .

My Dragon Fall Review ...

I've been suffering from the worst book hangover since reading the Bright Side series which has made so many books lackluster lately.  With this I needed a change so I jumped back into the paranormal genre with Katie MacAlister.  And I'm so glad that I did.  As usual with Katie, this book had heart, humor, passion and quirkiness.   This is a spin off series from the guardian series and her other dragon series.  I've read so many of Katie's books but have not yet read her dragon or guardian series.  I didn't find this altered my experience in any way.  But it did make me want to read the other series to have all of the background plus have more of Katie's humor to brighten my day.

Aoife Dakar finds herself smack dab in the middle of another world but no one believes her.  After being put in for two years at mental asylum, she's read to conquer her fears.   Only for her to jump right back into another reality where dragons are real and so is magic.  Thankfully she is vindicated for not being crazy but now has to wade her way through this new reality.

Kostya is a dragon and also a man who does NOT want a mate.  Especially after being burned by his ex and being held captive for seven long years.  But instantly when he meets Aoife he's drawn to her.  Kostya starts off dry, particular and way to serious but Aoife's quirkiness brings out his heart.

With a newfound dog/demon sidekick named Jim these three find themselves courting a whole bunch of trouble.

Koysta and Aoife's banter was great and sparks flew between them.

I loved Koysta and Aoife together even though Koysta fought the connection the whole way through.  Which was part of the fun between these two. But how can you deny it when your true mate finds you?

The story was fun and light hearted.  The writing is great.  I love the banter and interactions with all the characters, it's really a bit brilliant actually.  Love Katie MacAlister and recommend this book and anything else she has ever written.

4 Just what I needed thumbs up!
