Baseball has never been sexier in an all-new novel by New York Times Bestselling Author, K. Bromberg.
Easton Wylder is baseball royalty. The game is his life. His passion. His everything.
So, when an injury threatens to end Easton’s season early, the team calls in renowned physical therapist, Doc Dalton, to oversee his recovery. Except it’s not Doc who greets Easton for his first session, but rather, his daughter, Scout. She may be feisty, athletic, defiant, and gorgeous, but Easton is left questioning whether she has what it takes to help him.
Scout Dalton’s out to prove a female can handle the pressure of running the physical therapy regimen of an MLB club. And that proof comes in the form of getting phenom Easton Wylder back on the field. But getting him healthy means being hands-on.
And with a man as irresistible as Easton, being hands-on can only lead to one thing, trouble. Because the more she touches him, the more she wants him, and she can’t want him. Not when it’s her job to maintain the club’s best interest, in regards to whether he’s ready to play.
But when sparks fly and fine lines are crossed, can they withstand the heat, or is one of them bound to get burned?

My The Player Review . . .
I had to jump at this opportunity once I saw K. Bromberg and Sports Romance. How could that combination not be golden?
Easton Wylder was at top of his career until an unfortunate injury. Now wanting to come back from his injury he wants the best for rehab, whom is Doc Dalton. When a pretty girl named Scout walks in he thinks he's being pranked instead of realizing that she's his new rehab specialist.
"Some men have all the tools in the world, but if they don't know how to use them, they're useless. It's the same with my job. You've gotta know how to use your skills, and I assure you, I do. So, if the I-don't-trust-you-because-you-have-a-vagina-card has been exhausted, can we get started, please?"
Scout is good at her job and she's been taught to never let it get personal but something about Easton is making that difficult for her. After hanging out more and more during rehab and off hours they end up giving into each other. The sparks are explosive but they both have their own baggage. For Easton, its living his dad's legacy and for Scout it's her secrets she's caring for her dad, Doc Dalton.
It took me a bit of time to get into this story and then . . .
son of a whore I didn't realize it was a duet and now we are left with a cliffhanger and the end of June seems way to far away to find out what happens with Easton & Scout.
This story was a slow build, reeling us in slowly but once I was reeled in I was hooked and now I'm dying to find out what is going on in this clubhouse and what it means for Easton & Scout.
3 . 5 The Player thumbs up!
