Part 2 of 2

My The Catch Review . . . 

In The Player it took me awhile to fall for Easton and Scout, but by the end I NEEDED to know what happened, especially because it was left with a cliffhanger.   The Catch starts immediately where The Player left off, with Scout reading some information and making a split second decision that could change everything.  Now we get to see the aftermath of her decision.

While Easton's career is up for question, Scout is also dealing with her dad's decline.  This part of the story got me in the feels the most. 

"You're my heart, Scouty.  I love you more than anything in this world, and I don't want you to ever forget that."

In The Player we were also left with some suspicions of Easton's Dad and here we finally get to find out what they were.  With this new information, Easton has to put his world back together with this new revelation. 

Throughout the duet, Easton has a secret.  Which I felt was quite predictable.  However, I don't know if it was predictable because I've already read that exact story line in a different Baseball Romance or it was just written that way. 

As Scout and Easton are figuring out how to deal with all the curve balls been thrown their way, they are also finding each other and figuring out what matters most?  Career or Love and Family?

Sports Romance are my guilty pleasure and I did find this one sweet.  The Catch also had elements of sad and some predictability.  I did like Easton and Scout together and I did like the story line even though elements of it that I have read previously before.   It was a sweet story about love, loss and life.    It wasn't my favorite Sports romance but it was a quick read and heartfelt which made it worth the reading experience for me.
