Garrett is a super sweetheart who has never gotten over his highschool crush Kiersten

Kiersten is a single mom of her nephew whom she has custody after losing her sister.

For Kiersten her family comes first. Once in her life she gave a chance on love but got burnt so inturn she has refused to ever love again.

"I think you underestimate her pain." "And you underestimate my committment."

For Garrett who has remained friends with Kiersten for years jumps at the chance to be with her during a moment of weakness for Kiersten.

For Garrett he thinks that they will finally be together but for Kiersten it is another story and she pushes Garrett away.

Their one time together aka mistake leads to a bit oops. But for Garrett he is finally given the chance to convince Kiersten it is ok to love again.

But for Kiersten she is to goddammed stubborn to see this and does nothing but hurt Garrett over and over again. 

"When your heart is broken. It's not easy to just tape it back together and move on. Especially when you have a kid."

I wanted to throttle her with this as really you got burnt ONCE. Not multiple times like most people but ONCE GET OVER IT!!!

Finally after realizing that she is an asshat and sees the truth in Garrett's love she finally sucumbs to the second chance of love and happiness.

 I like this series.  They are a very quick reads and are about love and second chances.
