Blurb:
Chloe knew she was giving up the quiet life when she married Hollywood A-lister, Jason Vanderholt. She expected harassment from paparazzi but not from the writers of Blood Ritual, a television crime drama that brought national attention to a tough case she is trying to solve as a forensic scientist. While she and the rest of the Albuquerque Police Department once collaborated with the show, now relations have gone sour, and details that the police are trying to keep secret in the investigation are cropping up in episodes of a show watched by millions.

If that weren’t enough, everyone in Chloe’s life seems to be going through a rough patch, from her best friend, Lori, who is trying to plan a wedding, to her niece Kyra who is upset about Jason’s choice of television roles, to Jason himself who is inexplicably moody and withdrawn. None of this drama is the type of thing Chloe knows how to resolve.

She is trained to do one thing: hunt down the big bad wolves of the world, but with her connections to fame compromising her work, she may not even be allowed to stay on the case. The clock is ticking as law enforcement agencies across the country try to find a serial killer before he strikes again. Chloe is faced with a choice, to help catch one of the most evil criminals in history, or provide support to the friends and family who have always been there for her. Either way, she knows she might make the mistake of a lifetime.

My The Hunt for the Big Bad Wolf Review...

When I first read Someone Else's Fairytale I fell in love with Chloe and Jason and all there awkwardness and freshness of a new relationship, but what I did not see was it turning into a series.  And I gotta tell you I didn't know where or how this series was going to work or how it was going to happen, but it does work.  Yes this is a continuation of Jason and Chloe where we get to see how they grow as a couple but it's also a suspense or who dunnit as well.

The way E.M. Tippetts writes is unique and captivating.  She has such a knack for capturing the realness and awkwardness of her characters.  For Chloe she's a small fish in a large pond been married to a movie star.  She started off as a naive virgin but fell in love and now is in a relationship with a movie star which can cause anyone to have a world of doubt.

Because Chloe is married to Jason even her work is compromised and has the spotlight on them which is starting to cause conflict in Chloe's non-Jason world.   After hearing some words of advice it causes Chloe to doubt herself when it comes to Jason and it does not help that when Jason is stressed he introverts and pulls away causing so much more doubt for her.

While Chloe is having doubts in her personal life she is also having doubts in her professional life where the APD can not catch a particular serial killer which is haunting and taunting her.

To make matters worse Jason works on a show that mimics Chloe's professional life and all of a sudden facts that have not been yet released keep showing up on her show which causes more doubt professionally if Chloe is leaking to Hollywood.

As Chloe and Jason maneuver their way through their relationship, Chloe tries to figure out more about this elusive killer who is now taunting her.  Chloe is so straight forward and so in her head that she almost misses it but she finally finds all the pieces she needs personally and professionally.

This series is great, from the set up and format to the plot and romance.  I can not wait to see where this series ends up going.  The way it is set up and I can see it go on for quite awhile without stalling.

4 Who dunnit thumbs up!
