Served Hot (Portland Heat #1)

by

In Portland, Oregon, the only thing hotter than the coffee shops, restaurants, and bakeries are the hard-working men who serve it up—hot, fresh, and ready to go—with no reservations…

Robby is a self-employed barista with a busy coffee cart, a warm smile, and a major crush on one of his customers. David is a handsome finance director who works nearby, eats lunch by himself, and expects nothing but "the usual"—small vanilla latte—from the cute guy in the cart. But when David shows up for his first Portland Pride festival, Robby works up the nerve to take their slow-brewing relationship to the next level. David, however, is newly out and single, still grieving the loss of his longtime lover, and unsure if he’s ready to date again. Yet with every fresh latte, sweet exchange—and near hook-up—David and Robby go from simmering to steaming to piping hot. The question is: Will someone get burned?

First in the new Portland Heat series!

My Served Hot Review...

Gah! This was a very endearing sweet story but hope and second chances.  This is the first book in this new series.  Robbie is a sweet self-employed coffee barista, which he started after needing a fresh start after a disastrous relationship with a closeted man.  Daily he sets up his coffee cart in the middle of the business sector but his highlight of the day comes with the sweet predictable man who comes daily to order the same drink and has the same routine.

Robbie has a little crush on his customer but doesn't know if he is gay or straight.   After while Robbie gets to meet this mysterious customer and finds out they have more in common then he originally thought.

David is like a scared rabbit when it comes to relationships after a very traumatic past.  He likes Robbie but everything about this relationship is new and refreshing but uncharted waters for him.  Well for both really.  As they SLOWLY make their way they both have to deal with their pasts or there will be no future for these two.
Yeah.  He really was the best part of my week.  My dick could wait.
They both have wounds to heal, and must be open and honest for this to work, which causes them so grief at times but their journey is an endearing one.  I can't wait to read more from this very charming series.

4 Endearing Thumbs up!
