by

Falling for a con man is the most dangerous game of all…

Con artist Austin Shaw’s been in disguise so long he’s not sure where his fake identities end and he begins. Now that he’s been strong-armed into working for a specialized undercover unit working with the Chicago police—criminals with unique “skills”—the last thing he needs is to risk his iron control. Especially when it comes to a certain stunningly sexy hacker who tempts him with every look of disdain.

Polly Banks will never, ever trust a con man. On the trail of a ruthless crook who destroyed the only family she’s ever known, Polly is unnerved by the shadow who follows her every move. The one who makes her pulse pound and breath short with lust. Austin. He’s infuriating, enigmatic, and pure sex appeal, and she’s determined to resist him.

But an untrustworthy man of disguise can become anyone he wants…including a man that Polly must trust if she’s to escape their dangerous game alive.

My Boiling Point Review . . .

I love this sexy group of misfits!

"Touch the bear claw and I'll set you on fire.  It belongs to my man."  She smiled, looking more like a Girl Scout than a convicted arsonist. "Welcome to the family."

Here we get to find out what makes Austin tick since he's the most hated part of this little group.  Everyone in this group has pasts to atone, but for Austin his pasts are holding him back and coming back to haunt him.   Polly has her own reasons for the decisions she makes but she wants to right the wrongs of her past, but the last things she wants is to admit that she feels the same that Austin feels for her.

I LOVE AUSTIN. The thing I love most about Austin is his raw honesty which makes him so much sexier then he already was.   I absolutely adore Austin and his sexy charming ways.

"Never want anything else.  Nothing else.  Just this.  Between your legs where it feels right.  I'll give you everything, just don't take yourself away."

"I'm here because you're here.  Because I didn't want to know what Chicago felt like without you inside of it."  Blimey, that felt good.

"But mostly I just didn't want distance separating us.  You're supposed to be close.  I like having you close."

Polly tries to hold off Austin but eventually gives in when Austin dangles the best carrot of her inner desires.  This is where Tessa Bailey always shines.  Her ability to write erotica and sex is outstanding.  She's has learned how to balance between sex and substance that we are ensnared with the story from the beginning to the end while at the same time we get to see Austin and Polly fall for each other in their steamy journey together.

What a better couple then two criminals.  As they understand past choices and drives for the reason they do what they do.  But for these two it's so much more as they balance each other out sexually, emotionally and personally.

"Do we need to break into another house and traumatize a second feline?"

As Austin and Polly's past come to a head they admit to their wants and desires so they can give in to themselves and learn to trust each other. But will the trust be enough in the end?

"You've attracted the kind of animal who won't rest until he's mated for life."

These two are great together, and together they can move on from their pasts and move forward to their version of a HEA which I'm sure will be non-conventional but perfect for them.

"We are not the sum of our past deeds.  There are gray areas and straight-up mistakes, but we can't let them define us.  Okay?  Whatever you did won't change what I know.  And I know you."

This is a series that you need to read from the beginning to truly experience this little group and now I can NOT wait for Henrik's story.

4 Boiling over thumbs up!
